What is Google Play closed testing?

Closed testing means the app isn’t yet published to all public users—only Google accounts on the tester list, or those holding the opt-in link, can see and install it on the Play Store.

For Local Point, the beta phase is mainly about collecting real-world feedback on crashes, login, checkout, and location, then iterating before pushing to the official release.

Steps to join the Local Point beta

If Play shows “not available for you yet,” it usually means your Google account hasn’t synced with the tester list. Wait a few minutes and try again, or confirm you’re using the invited Gmail address.

• Open the official beta opt-in link on an Android phone
• Sign in with your Google account and tap to agree to join the test
• Follow the on-screen prompts to the Local Point page on Google Play
• Tap “Install” or “Update”
• Open the app and wait for the local-point.asia home page to load

How does the beta differ from the web version?

The Local Point Android app is a Capacitor native shell, with content still served from the deployed HTTPS website. So after a website update, in most cases you can see new features without reinstalling the app; only changes involving native permissions or icons require an app version update.
